Overview of the 100 BMOC

In January 1993, a group of men met in Orange County with the intention of forming a local chapter of The 100 Black Men of America.

The group had already recognized that the 100 Black Men was one of the most influential organizations in the nation and could bring a fresh and much needed mechanism to the African American community in Orange County. The 100 Black Men of Orange County was conceived to improve the quality of life for African Americans and other minorities living and working in the area. In April 1993, the Orange County chapter of the 100 Black Men of America was incorporated. The organization was chartered in June 1993, with 28 members led by founding President Eugene Wheeler.

Today, the 100 Black Men of Orange County, Inc., (100 BMOC) is comprised of dedicated members committed to service in the areas of Education, Mentoring, Economic Development and Empowerment, Health and Wellness, and Information Technology. “Real Men Giving Real Time”
